I am Anna Markovich, founder of the Law Office of Anna Markovich, LLC. I have been practicing law for 14 years now. I have two law degrees: one is from the Odessa State University, Odessa, Ukraine, and the other, from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland, Ohio. I have graduated from both schools with honors.

While I was a student at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, I was taking care of my family and young daughter. At the same time, I was working as a law clerk at the Shaker Heights Municipal Court and interning at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

I founded my law firm in 2004 with the intention of assisting immigrants like myself. Since then, my clientèle has grown and today, I represent all those interested in my services: either immigrants or American citizens.

Although I am licensed to practice law in Ohio, I am also authorized to practice immigration law in any state. My native language is Russian. I am fluent in English and proficient in Ukrainian.

I am an active member of a number of professional organizations, such as the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Lake County Bar Association, and the Parma Bar Association. I am also a member of the Advisory Committee for the Guardian ad Litem Project of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.

My husband and I live in the Eastern suburbs of Cleveland. Our wonderful daughter, Ally, is a junior at Princeton University, where she is studying political theory. She runs competitively for the Princeton Tigers and freelances with University Press Club. Her articles have been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Times of Trenton.

When I am not helping my clients, I love to spend time with my family. Our favorite place in Cleveland is the University Circle area; you can often find us at the Cleveland Museum of Art or Severance Hall. You're also likely to bump into us walking our dog, Yoshi, in the Cleveland Metroparks.
